Introductory post

I'm going to be using this blog to keep track of the research I'm doing into the life and career of Beatrix Lehmann. I came across Beatrix in an appearance in the Doctor Who episode, Stones of Blood. I later discovered that she wrote two novels, was friends with Christopher Isherwood and hung out with him in 1930s Berlin and was a communist and bisexual. She seemed like a fascinating woman but I was able to find very little information about her, much more has been written about her brother John and her sister Rosamond.
